A stock ticker would be nice

It would be great to support the following info all in a single widget:
    Time for 2 cities
    Weather for 2 cities
    Flight status
    Stock quotes

Add Exhibition mode support for Glimpse for even more awesomeness.

    Love this app. Thank you.

The following widgets would be great:
    - Google+
    - 500px (photo sharing site, popular section)
    - Google Reader
    - Stock pricing
    - Flight status (domestic and international)

    Cheers.

11 months ago Josiah Grindrod (Facebook) responded:
Is there any feasible way to make the Tasks widget sync with exchange?
Also, a countdown timer would be great, as well as bookmarked widgets (pinned to the top of the menu)

If possible, a music widget (control now playing)

And bug report, it appears you can't log into websites that pop up a log in window.

Second what everyone has said about exhibition.

11 months ago Josiah Grindrod (Facebook) responded:
Thought of something else: A clipboard widget, where whatever is on your clipboard appears on the widget. I think that'd be handy.
11 months ago david cooper responded:
    igoogle interface
    stock quote
google news vice yahoo or both :-) as choice
list of what is new in HP app catalogue (just title)
    countdown clock

recommendation: give us a hint where to find the info required to add app's in the "select app" feature.

    Hello,
Glimpse I installed on my touchpad and it's great! This application allows you to use the full potential of truly multi-tasks webOS. And the potential is enormous ... Bravo! Great job ...
However, I have some questions ...
    - About the shortcuts, you can add indicating "app ID" of the desired application. Where can I find one that ID?
    - On the tasks, it would be great if they could be synchronized with Exchange or Toodledo ...
    - The integration of Google Reader would also be interesting.
    But very nice application :-)
    11 months ago IngloriousApps responded:
Go to the helpmenu or visit www.ingloriousapps.com/glimpse for details on how to get an App id

i had exhibition, had to take it out last minute due to a bug. But it's definitely coming...
    11 months ago IngloriousApps responded:
Stocks widget was on my todo list. Apparently, a lot of you love google reader (personally, I don't use it, which is why it didn't make the initial cut), but i'll see what I can do

    Neato! For glimpse! Epic.....
    11 months ago jack responded:
just installed glimpse, pretty darn slick. My thoughts:

*toodledo integration (no small feat i am sure)
*I'd like to second a cou down timer
*I dont underatand the tiny popup for rss feeds. Itd be ideal to use the webview in glimpse instead of a new browser window
*an androidish widget that shows the current weather and time in a pretty like fashion
    *text assist widget maybe?
*quick info bars. I picture an option to add a single line to the top, bottom or both on the right widget. Sort of ultra-mini widgets. I am thinking shortcut bar, current weather conditions, favorite contacts, scrolling rss headlines, etc
    *favorife contacts widget
    *customizable soundboard widget
*sett a zone to have multiple widgets that rotate. Exhibition widgets :-)
*please add 1 hour refresh to the weather wiidget

thats my brain dump. Lookimg fwd to seeimg what else u com2 up with.

PS will notes be upgraded to touchpad status? And will I have to rebuy it?

    thanks!

how about a webOS settings widget? Can include things similar to the device menu (like brightness control) but also volume sliders, change wallpaper, add "just type" learned words/shortcuts, etc.

I use you pre app notes all the time. I dearly miss its integration on touchpad. If it could sync with notes it would rule.

    Tripit feed
    Lastpass or secustore
    xbox live friends status
    10 months ago Dave responded:
how about integrating Advanced browser (with tabs and Secustore2 integration) and giving the option in tweet links etc to not only open in app (which opens a floating window), but to open in the web panel. At the moment you have to copy the url, paste it and then you see your webpage. Be great to reduce the number of clicks.

how about a Photos/videos widget to view/share the photos on your device?
    phone/video calls dialer?
    10 months ago Dave responded:
be great to have a widget that listed all open cards and let you jump straight to that card when clicking on the appropriate item in the widget (like clicking on an app name in the Shortcuts widget if that app is already running).

    thanks

I think it would be cool if you could drag one open widget on top of another and the two would swap windows without losing your place. This would allow you to switch which widget is in the big window.

A timer would be really handy! We already have a stopwatch, but no timer. I'd be happy to try to write it, although I've never written any webOS code before...

I've got a few widget ideas i'd like to see become a reality:
    - Google Plus
    - Package tracking (UPS/DHL/FedEx/etc)
    - numeric analyis widget

that last one will take some explaining. if you ever used PowerOne Graph on palmos, this feature will sound familiar. what i'd like to see is a widget with two views: one where you type in an equation with variables; the second where that equation has been already entered and the detected variables presented as a form where you enter values for all but one variable and the widget solves for the missing one. in other words a simple programming environment to let ppl crunch numbers through a small formula very easily.

back on power one graph you could enter, for example, the quadratic equation and then have a form that only asked you for the length of 2 sides of the triangle and always calculated the third side for you. i would love to have this feature in glimpse.

    9 months ago Brittany responded:
Hi-- great app! I bought it thinking that I could use it for taking notes in meetings. It is really handy for me to have notes, tasks, and calendar open all at once.

I would find the note widget much more useful if there were more export options (eg. Notes can go the native "memos" app, or to Google Docs). I would also be happy to purchase your Notes program if you were to bring it to Touchpad and to sync with Glimpse.

Like a previous poster, I would also find it useful to be able to sync tasks with an outside app.

Google+ and Facebook would be fun, too :-)

Thanks and keep up the great work!

a way to save doodles, webOS is badly missing a way to jot notes, I use a stylus on my touchpad, and would be very grateful for this functionality.
    9 months ago adam responded:
forget adding widgets, just find a way to sync and incorporate other web Os functions. I mean why the hell would anyone use that little separate calendar widget, even adding something like email and incorporating your other note app as a widget, which CAN export to Google docs would exponentially improve this, you could probly charge 10-15 for it

please show some love for UK users with BBC News as part of option.

something akin to tweetdeck ie all my status and messages would br ace too

@adam: Trust me, If I could add the email or calendar or any other native webOS apps, I would have done that. I'm working within limitations. As for the calendar, it's just a simple calendar, similar to the calendar that pops up when you click the date on your desktop PC. It's just for seeing dates, and quickly making schedules (by tapping on a date). Its not supposed to be an agenda view (because it's not possible)
9 months ago IngloriousApps (Twitter) responded:

    - SHORCUTS : to remove some of them and to change their order
    9 months ago Richard responded:
    Love the app...
You just fixed a bug I thought was feature... Having Twitter refresh by tilting the TP...;) Maybe make it an option to refresh whatever widgets by tilting the screen...

I would like to be able to read a preview of incoming emails from a specific account, not just the title like in the notification area but the first few lines. More than often this allows me to determine wether or not I have to read the full email or just discard it.(Hence having or not to launch the full email app...)

Definitely the Advanced Browser integration would be a fun thing.

I'm also looking to an IM integration, namely Office Communicator, but MSN, Yahoo, and others would be nice as well, Imagine using the large widget as a whiteboard and the smaller widgets for video and chat.

Thank you for making such a wonderful app.

I read all of the suggestions so far, and I agree with them. It sucks you cannot add webos apps, like the calendar, notes, and others, is it possible to sync them? Things I would like to see are availability of adding any WebOS APP to one of the windows, webOS is already the first and greatest real multi tasker, but instead of just using main window for web which im sure what most users do, let it support say quick office, palms facebook, messaging, or even big boss or atlantis sky patrol he.

main thing I would really like to see is the just type action commands, for creating actions in glimpse since they cant be exported out. Ex. I type "acc hw E1, E4, P3" and actions pops up to add that to tasks for my accounting class. Havnt found a good task for tp yet, like the old palmOS or pre-

    9 months ago James responded:
Not a widget request but a request to update the widgets. This app would be the ultimate productivity tool if it was updated to support showing info from web programs like google calender, todist, rememberthemilk, etc! I do enjoy the app but this would make it easily worth $10
    9 months ago rangerf6 responded:
Agree with most of the suggestions, and really would like to see Facebook and a NCAA football schedule that would allow the selection of a favorite college team.

Hi I had just sent an email about a widget request. I wish I had checked the blog first. Anyway, after reading some reviews, I think Pandora would do nicely as a widget. The smaller sized panes in Glimpse are nearly the same size as the original Pre's screen. It would be so convenient to be able to interact with and view Pandora without leaving Glimpse.
    8 months ago Eduardo responded:
hey is it possible to add a PDF reader? It would be awesome for college students to be able to read and type an article side by side (for citations or sample)

    8 months ago pulsation responded:
Sorry, didn't see this post before,.
A translator widget, based on Google translation services for example, would be perfect for me - English is not my native language and I often have to visit Translator HD to understand what words or expressions mean.
    7 months ago bogstad responded:
A number of the widgets don't handle resizing well. If I'm in the default three pane mode with Advanced Browser in the large pane on the right, if I swipe to make the pane bigger it does not use the extra space on the right. I think Doodle sometimes has this problem as well, but I can not recreate it at the moment.
    7 months ago Pulp responded:

I have spent a long time adding bookmarks to Delicious and would love to see the Web Widget "Share" options expanded to include the ability to add a bookmark to Delicious. This would be a huge benefit for me and I suspect many others as well. Hopefully something you can do? Thanks for your continued efforts to improve this great app!
5 months ago Naruto Uzumaki responded:
Please, I beg of you, add support for a video player such as kalemsoft media player.

while the concept of the program is great, many of the widgets are not apps that you will use often enough to have both on the screen at the same time.

But for example a media player will allow users to watch movies or other local content while surfing the web.

    4 months ago Noah responded:
Glimpse would be infinitely more useful with an
    1. email widget.
    2. Google tasks sync for the tasks widget
    3. Sharing of bookmarks from the native browser to the glimpse browser
    4. Day/week view in the calendar widget
